wtf... there is a Subaru commercial that confuses me. Where the dude is standing in a gorilla costume next to a chimp and a guy asks what he's doing and he says "getting ready for the big tent sale" and the dude says to him " it's not THAT kind of tent". WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT? what kind of tent has monkeys in it?! Am I just being dumb?

Maybe a circus tent?

Maybe, but a man dressed as a gorilla hardly screams circus tent! The Baby Ronald ad as in your icon would be better if that's the point their trying to drive home. There is a camping tent with a fake deer next to it also. Maybe they were counting on us to be confused and ask each other this question. I dunno, I'm still not compelled to buy a Subaru.

Ooooh! I found it on Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_Tent:

A spin off the old adage about a thousand monkey's and a thousand typewriters creating a Shakespearean work in a thousand years involves a troop of gorilla's, in a tent, manufacturing vehicles for mass production and sales.

Ok, I made all that up, but you aren't the first to ask that question. Sadly, no one has an answer :(

LOL. I didn't even notice the chimp was holding a clipboard. THAT is funny.

Remember that old 80s song "Things that make you go hmmmmm...." or whatever it said. That's what came to mind after I read your reply. That song is stuck in my head thankyousomuch.

I appreciate your ad lib adage as well.
